Thursday morning we woke up to a little bit of rain
but thought it'd still be a good day for Lagoon.
While driving there we decided that it was only
raining harder and harder and we had no warm
clothes so we changed our plans.
We decided to go to Hogle Zoo which was
so fun (even in the cold rain! ;)
The guys behind Blake are holding a
huge snake! They wouldn't let the kids take pictures
with it. They said they were using it to
"stimulate the monkeys?!"
So we tried to sneak a picture. :)
This HUGE elephant was SO fun to sit and watch!
We took lots of video but not many pictures...
Ryan told Blake to count all the holes on the
elephants trunk (20+) McKenzie then joined in.
Meanwhile you can hear the elephant begin to make
some noise and then all the sudden it sneezes and
blows water all over you! It really got Kenzie
good! :)
Rhinos
Bald Eagle
Sea lion
The giraffes were SO close!
We then went inside to get a close look at the one that was inside...
We then went inside to get a close look at the one that was inside...
and to get out of the rain! ;)
Peyton has been on lots of carousels but never wanted
to sit on her own animal. After seeing her
siblings do it she picked out a rhino to sit on and
LOVED it! She giggled the whole time!
By this point Kenzie was pouting about something so
just Blake and Peyton were able to re-enact a
picture that Ryan has as a kid with the same lion
drinking fountain! ;)
We then had someone take our picture to show how wet
we got. You can only tell by how wet Blake and
Jeanne are, but we were SOAKED!
{still SO much fun though!!)
After stopping for lunch and driving around SLC to find
a Krispy Kreme (never found one) :( we came home to dry off.
Blake went running to the window to look for
deer (like he usually does there) and found one in
the back yard!
After drying off and taking some naps we
loaded back in the car with some double stuffed
oreos to see the "oreo cows".
So neat to see these cows with no spots!
Just "creme" filled cows!
{Ryan's photography skills}
Someone enjoyed the oreos! ;)
Friday morning was perfect and sunny so we
loaded up and drove to Lagoon!
Ferris Wheel!

Cute picture of Grandpa Bob and Kenzie
on the Sky Ride!
We then took the train ride to see all the
animals!
Blake, Kenzie and Grandma all competed in a game
to win a turtle. (Peyton thought she was playing)
Both kids ended up winning a prize!
YAY! Another carousel!! :)
Lagoon was SO fun! Blake and Kenzie were tall
enough to ride most of the big rides with us and Bob
and Jeanne were kind enough to sit and play
with Peyton!! :)
Once we got home there was a deer in their front yard!
I was able to get my camera out and snap a few pictures!
Blake loved looking for "ground diggers?" for
Grandpa to shoot! They have been digging up his
foundation of his house so Blake was on the lookout!
Saturday we were going to drive to Vegas for the night
so before our drive home Ryan and Bob went on a
quad ride up the mountain. When they got home
Jeanne Bob and I rode bikes to Main street to
go look at the cute shops and get shaved ice!
What turned out to be a fun bike ride {down} the
mountain it was a killer ride back up! ;)
Here is where it turned ugly...
We stopped in Heber to get gas and lunch 5 mintues
after pulling out of McDonalds Peyton
threw up. So we pulled over and used 1/2 a pack
of wet wipes to clean it up as best as we could.
Not 10 minutes later she did it again!
So same thing... pulled over, wet wipes...
back on the road. This repeated 3 more times so
once we got to Cedar City we stopped at Walmart for a few
necessities! (new jammies, pedalite, air freshener, and clorox spray!)
We then stopped for dinner but Kenzie and I were too sick from
the smell (so we thought).
From Cedar City to Las Vegas the throw up started all over again...
but this time it was McKenzie and I taking turns. :(
Luckily we were able to use bags to throw up in.
Finally we made it to Vegas to stay the night before our
drive to Newport!!
