This weekend was our Annual Burr get together!
We arrived Thursday night around 10:30! After getting
rooms situated and snacks and food put away the adults
stayed up till about 12:30 talking, laughing, and
SNACKING!! :)
~Friday~
The guys had a few projects planned...
they re-built the tree house.
While they went into town to get lumber
Kenzie kept herself busy with her
purse!
And Blake kept himself busy by
playing with all the tools they left behind!
Mid afternoon they finished! Then it was
time to try out the zip-line!
Ryan and Blake went on together!
Blake LOVED it so much but wanted to do it by
himself next time.... so he did!
Over and over and OVER again! :)

Our favorite part of the cabin trip is NIGHT TIME!
Once we put all the kids to sleep the night games begin...
(along with lots of snacking!)
This year we played
-Mafia
-Left Right Center
-and of course light up frisbee!
Everyone gets glow sticks and we have three light up
frisbees that we play with!
The girls are all normally pretty scared to be outside
when its dark so we all hang out by the front of the cabin...
while we were playing this "character" creeped up on us
and SCARED EVERYONE!!
Once we noticed that Carley wasn't scared and
saw the socks we figured out it was Rush! :)
~Saturday~
Ryan planned a 5 mile race to the main road
and back! Here is my brother Jared who came in
first place! My dad and Riley held the finish line
(toilet paper!)
There is ALWAYS something yummy to eat
up at the cabin... here is Kenzie finishing
off the chips and salsa (and Karens diet DP)
Granna always plans a craft for the kids to do,
here is Blake painting a pirate!
Kenzie didn't want to paint (or maybe I didn't want her to
paint, I can't remember!:) so here she is playing outside
with Ryan's safety glasses! This was Blake's first year to get
to go shooting with all the "big boys!" He LOVED every
minute of it until he found out they weren't shooting animals?!
I guess he thought they were going hunting!!
The girls always do a "girl trip" to... get ready...
Family Dollar!! (there is not a lot to do in Heber!)
We always get new jammies for the kids and
little toys to keep the kids busy!

Saturday Ryan and I had to skip out on night games
because Ryan had a big day on Sunday!
He was called to be the second counselor of
our bishopric!!
So we were able to spend Sunday with the Alexanders!
Ryan's parents came down from Vegas and we had
a yummy bar-b-que at Rob and Amys and
watched PRICELESS home videos of the Alexander boys! :)
We had such a FUN weekend and are so blessed to be
around family!

I love that picture of Blake painting and Mckenzie thank you for bring your purse it sure did keep Lyvi busy.
ps also LOVED the picture of Blake ready for school. I totally remember getting my "first day at school picture".
I'm so glad you guys made it to the cabin and were able to get back home safe and sound. Ryan I'm so sorry about you twisting your ankle. {You left that part out of the blog.} { That had to kill.} Congratulaions on being the new second counselor in your ward Bishopric. That calling went to a great man. Sylvia
We were at our family dinner on Sunday and my Aunt Becky was SO excited to tell me the news about Ryan being called into the bishopric! My mom wants to know: Who's going to sit with you from now on and help with the kids!
