Annual Burr Cabin Get-together!!

For the past 4 years my family has gone up to Heber, Az. for
a weekend. We go up first thing Friday morning and come home Sunday afternoon.
(just enough time to get out of the heat, and spend time as a family, and hopefully not get on each others nerves!!)

This swing was my lifesaver this year!!
McKenzie, STILL not walking was a lot of work this year, wanting
to crawl all over the place was a nightmare.
Ryan found this swing on the porch and decided to hang in from a beam on the porch?!?
McKenzie LOVED it!!

Here's Kenzie pulling Riley's hair!
The nephews all wanted a turn on the swing!!
The guys spent a lot of time shooting guns, playing horseshoes,
and blongo ball!

The first night EVERYONE was on such a sugar high!!
Here is my nephew Mason playing "Peek-a-boo" with Kenzie.

"BOO"!!

Blake, Brooke, and Tate were throwing their blankets over the banister and
then would all run down the stairs, get their blankets and do it all over again!!
(This kept them busy for quite a while!)

This year their was a miscommunication on who was going to bring the T.V.
We had a Wii up there, but no t.v.
Luckily my sister in law brought up a portable dvd player!
Here are the nephews watching a movie before bed!!

The next day my nephew Riley found a horny toad!!
My sister Carley was the only one brave enough to hold it and show all the kids.

There is also a zip line  at the cabin and this year that is ALL Blake wanted to do!

over and over again!!
Then...
my little brother Jacob took McKenzie down!!

She LOVED it!!

This year we added a little something to our annual trip!!
Saturday night we ate at Bison Ranch Restaurant.
But we decided that each family had to come up with a themed shirt!

The Alexanders went in Camo!!
Here's our camo fam!
The Ellsworths went in Bass Pro Shop themed shirts
The Danielson had their shirts spray painted (like you see the guy at the
State Fair making!!)
Their shirts were "Blinged" out in chains!
The Burr's did tall T shirts!!
(not pictured)
The Smiths went totally "white trash"
(you can see my sisters shirt in the picture above with McKenzie on the zip line!)
And my parents and Jacob wore Route 66 Tshirts

Of course at the restaurant, Ryan and Blake had to "knock down" some ribs!!

McKenzie found a new BFF this weekend!
Anytime she saw my brother Jared she'd crawl as fast as she could over to him!
(Which is a good thing because Jared and his wife Karen are the ones
watching her while Ryan and I are in Hawaii!!)
Here's the last day
We TRIED to get a picture of my mom and dad and all the grandchildren.
(this one has most of the kids in it)
only one is missing...
mine!
(We all don't normally look this "grungie")
:)
The kids started to get restless...
Here are all the kids...
yes mine is the one throwing a fit!!
Maybe we can try that again, when everyone is happy!

We had such a fun weekend and always look forward to going up to the cabin!
The kids all have such a fun time playing together and as soon as the kids go to bed the
parents always have fun playing light up frisbee, mafia, LRC, and just pigging out!! :)

That looks like a lot of fun! What a cute idea to wear themed shirts to dinner. Bummer that no one remembered to bring a tv for the Wii.

What a fun tradition! It was probably a good thing (possible conspiracy?:) that the TV did not show up? Too bad for the guys, ha-ha. I love all of the shirts, you guys would have totally all been dressed up to attended the Heber ward! I love to go to church up in the Rim country just to people watch (blasphemy!)

What a fun weekend! I had no idea there are that many grandkids in your family! The pictures of your parents and the kiddos are classic!

Where was my invite? Is it because I don't have kids yet? I guess it could have something to with me not technically being a Burr... but I'm going to say it's because I don't have kids yet.

your little family is so cute! I sure do miss the days when the PI didn't talk but it is good to see your dad with a big smile.
